About
ABOUT THE DESIGNER - GABRIELLE SOLÍZ
Gabrielle Solíz is a designer and multidisciplinary artist based in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Her work is guided by instinct—shaped by a lifelong devotion to material, form, and quiet beauty. As a child, she collected beads, stickers, and textile squares from her grandmother’s quilting studio, drawn not to use them, but to simply look. Her grandmother, a quiet creative who strung beads without pattern and found beauty in unexpected things—a garden, a pair of socks—taught her that art can live in the everyday.
Each piece Gabrielle creates is a study in form, weight, and texture. She works intuitively, assembling compositions by feel rather than formula. Her process is sculptural, fluid, and rooted in reverence for objects that carry presence
STUDIO
Studio Solíz is a body of work shaped by instinct and memory.
Each piece is composed by hand, using materials that carry time—ancient stones, hammered silver, textured silk. The studio’s visual language is quiet, editorial, and tactile. Rather than follow trends or rigid methods, the work evolves through a process of observation and response. What emerges is a sculptural archive of pieces made to be worn, kept, and remembered.
MATERIALS
Studio Solíz pieces are made with rare and time-worn elements — stones aged by the earth, silk that moves like water, silver and gold that catch light with restraint.
Each material is chosen for how it feels on the skin, how it rests on the body, and how it holds presence. Some pieces are composed like heirlooms. Others are built around form, balance, and mood. All are crafted with intention.
CRAFT
There is no mass production. No outsourcing. No replication.
Each piece passes only through the artist’s hands — from the first stone selected to the final knot tied.
This is slow work. Sculptural work.
Meant to be worn, held, and kept close.
Packaging is minimal and considered: organic cotton bags designed for safekeeping, not excess.
