About

Studio Solíz is a jewelry studio rooted in instinct, material, and form. Created by Gabrielle Soliz in Grand Rapids, Michigan, each piece begins through attraction rather than planning — a response to texture, color, weight, and the quiet tension between materials.

The foundation of the work traces back to Gabrielle’s childhood. Her grandmother kept collections of beads, textile scraps, and found materials, arranging them intuitively without a fixed pattern. As a child, Gabrielle was drawn to those groupings — the way colors sat beside one another, the satisfaction of texture and repetition, the feeling that objects could hold presence without explanation.

That instinct still guides Studio Solíz today.

Working across stone, sterling and fine silver, silk, and collected materials, Gabrielle creates pieces that feel sculptural, tactile, and deeply personal. Some are minimal and restrained. Others are raw, irregular, or assembled through unexpected combinations. Rather than following a strict formula, each piece evolves slowly through feeling and observation.

Every necklace and object is designed and assembled by hand in her studio using carefully sourced materials chosen for their texture, age, and character. Many pieces are created in small runs or cannot be repeated exactly due to the nature of the materials themselves.

Studio Solíz exists between adornment and artifact — jewelry intended to be worn, collected, and lived with over time.
